Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Santu Deola, a sole proprietor based in Nepal, trading as Corlyn (“Corlyn”, “we”, “us” or “our”). They cover your use of the Corlyn website, web app and desktop app (together, the “Service”), and any paid plans you buy.
By creating an account, using the Service, buying a plan, or clicking “I Agree” when installing the desktop app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. The Service
Corlyn is a virtual office you can walk around, where your teammates are AI agents. You can use it in your web browser or in the desktop app for Windows and Mac. Alex, the engineer, builds websites and small web apps. Maya, the designer, makes and edits images. Jason, the ad designer, makes launch videos and ads for your product and writes their text. Sam, the data analyst, answers questions about your business from data you choose to connect, such as your Stripe account, your website or a spreadsheet (see section 7). Other teammates shown as “coming soon” can't take requests yet. Every account gets a free monthly allowance with each working teammate except Jason, who works on paid plans only, and each has optional paid plans and packs (see section 4). The Service is under active development, and features may change over time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. To buy a paid plan, you must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, or have permission from a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms. If you connect a business's data to Sam, you confirm you're allowed to act for that business.
3. Your account
You need an account to use the Service. You can sign up with your name, a username, your email and a password, or sign in with Google. You agree to give accurate information and to keep your password secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away at corlynapp@gmail.com if you think someone else has used it.
4. Paid plans, billing and payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
- Prices. Alex Pro US$19.99 per month, Alex Pro+ US$49.99 per month, Maya Pro US$19.99 per month, Maya Pro+ US$49.99 per month, Jason Pro US$29.99 per month, Jason Pro+ US$59.99 per month and Sam Pro US$19.99 per month. One-time packs: Alex's credit pack (20 credits) US$9.99, Maya's image pack (30 images) US$9.99 and Jason's credit pack (20 credits) US$9.99. Current prices are shown on the Hire employees page in the office. Sales tax or VAT is added where it applies and is calculated by Paddle at checkout.
- Allowances. Each month, every account gets 5 of Alex's credits, 3 of Maya's images and 8 questions to Sam for free (Jason has no free allowance), topping up once a month. Paid plans give: Alex Pro 50 credits, Alex Pro+ 130, Maya Pro 50 image credits, Maya Pro+ 150, Jason Pro 70 credits, Jason Pro+ 160, Sam Pro 200 questions, reset on each renewal payment. Unused monthly allowances don't carry over.
- How credits are used. Alex's credits are charged for the work each build actually takes (a new site is usually about 5 credits and a small change about 1, and about twice that in Alex Pro+'s optional Max mode), up to a limit per build. One standard image from Maya uses 1 credit and one HD image (paid plans) uses 4. Jason's credits: an ad uses 1 (HD 4), a new video 8 and a change to a video 3; making the video file and its other shapes is free. Talking to Maya and Jason is free within a monthly message limit. One question to Sam uses 1. If an image or answer can't be made because of a problem on our side, or the AI declines it, the credit is given back. Credits used on work you later undo or don't like aren't given back.
- Packs. Pack credits are used after your monthly allowance and don't expire while your account is open. They can only be used for the teammate they were bought for.
- No cash value. Credits, images and questions have no cash value and can't be transferred, sold or exchanged for money.
- Fair use limits. To keep the Service working for everyone, each plan has daily and monthly limits (for example, on builds, images and messages per day) shown in the office, and we may limit how quickly requests are sent. Free allowances depend on available capacity: on busy days, free requests may be paused until the next day. Paid plans aren't affected by this.
- Subscriptions. Plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically each month until you cancel. Paddle charges the payment method you gave at checkout on each renewal. Switching between a teammate's Pro and Pro+ plans starts the new plan straight away with its full allowance, and ends the old one.
- Cancelling. You can cancel any time from the link in your Paddle receipt email or by emailing us. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, and it doesn't renew after that.
- Price changes. If we change a plan's price, we'll tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal. You can cancel before then if you don't want to continue.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Paddle may retry it. If it still can't be collected within a few days, that plan goes back to the free allowance until payment succeeds. Pack credits are kept.
Paddle's own Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.
5. No refunds
All sales are final. Payments are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, unless the law says otherwise. The details are in our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, fraudulent or abusive;
- try to break, overload, hack, or get unauthorised access to the Service, its servers, or other people's accounts or data;
- copy, resell, sublicense or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it;
- use the AI teammates to create content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringes anyone's rights, including copyright, trademarks and the right to their own image;
- ask Maya or Jason for realistic images of real people without their permission, images meant to deceive (for example fake news photos or fake documents), or copies of other brands' logos and trademarks; ask Jason for ads or videos with false or misleading claims, prices, reviews or offers; or upload images you don't have the right to use;
- ask Alex to build phishing pages, malware, sites that impersonate other businesses, or anything designed to trick people;
- use bots or scripts to create accounts, send requests automatically, or otherwise misuse the Service, or open extra accounts to get more free allowance;
- connect data to Sam that you aren't allowed to share, put the Corlyn website snippet on a site you don't own or control, or send it fake traffic.
7. Connecting your data to Sam
- Your data, your responsibility. You choose what to connect, and you must have the right to share it with us. If it includes information about your customers or website visitors, you're responsible for telling them about it where the law requires, for example in your own privacy policy.
- How we handle it. We use connected data only to answer your questions, on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't sell it or use it to train AI models.
- Read-only access. Sam only accepts restricted, read-only Stripe keys and never changes anything in the services you connect. Keep your keys private, and revoke them in the other service if you think they've leaked.
- Other services. Stripe and other services you connect have their own terms, and you keep your agreement with them. We don't control them and aren't responsible if they change, limit access, or stop working.
- Completeness. Sam's numbers come from what's connected. Stripe data refreshes every few hours, so the latest activity may take a while to appear. Each source is reported in its main currency. Very large accounts may only be partly synced. Website numbers only start once the snippet is on your site, and may miss visitors whose browsers block analytics.
- Removing data. You can remove a connected source at any time in Sam's data, which deletes what we stored for it.
8. AI teammates and their output
Answers and work from AI teammates, including Sam's analysis, Alex's websites and code, Maya's images and Jason's videos and ads, are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or contain mistakes. Check anything important before you rely on it, especially before business, financial or tax decisions, and before putting a website, image, video or ad in front of customers. You are responsible for making sure ads and videos you publish are accurate and follow the rules of the platforms you run them on. Websites Alex builds are front ends only: they don't include real payment, login or database systems unless you add them, and you're responsible for testing, security and hosting before you publish one. AI output is not professional advice of any kind, including legal, financial, accounting, tax, investment, medical or security advice. You are responsible for how you use what the AI teammates produce.
The AI services we use may decline some requests, for example under their safety rules. AI output can resemble existing works or what's made for other people, so check that you're free to use it, especially for logos and commercial use.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, artwork, characters, logo and the name “Corlyn”, belongs to us and our licensors. It is protected by copyright and other laws. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service while you follow these Terms. Content you type or upload into the Service (including images, files and your brand details), and data you connect, stay yours. You let us process them only as needed to provide the Service to you.
As between you and us, the websites, code and images the AI teammates make for you are yours to use, including commercially, as long as you follow these Terms. We don't claim ownership of them. The law on whether AI-made work can be protected by copyright is still developing and differs between countries, so we can't promise that you'll have exclusive rights in it.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, or if the law requires it. Where we can, we'll tell you why first. When an account is closed, any paid plans end and are not charged again, unused credits and packs are lost, and your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy, including Alex's projects, Maya's images and brand kit, and the data you connected to Sam. Download anything you want to keep first.
11. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. It depends on providers such as our hosting and AI services. We may change, add or remove features, including which AI models answer and how, as long as a paid plan keeps what we promised for it. If we remove a paid teammate or plan you're paying for, it ends and you won't be charged for it again.
12. Disclaimer
Apart from what these Terms expressly say, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or business, including losses from decisions made using the AI teammates' output, or from publishing websites or images they made. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, or the rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If the changes are significant, we'll also tell you by email or in the Service. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the new Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and disputes are handled by the courts of Nepal. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep any protections that the law where you live gives you and that can't be excluded by contract.
16. Third-party software
The desktop app is built with Electron and Chromium, which are open-source software under their own licences. Copies are included in the app's installation folder (LICENSE.electron.txt and LICENSES.chromium.html).
